Event Canceled

The Hororata Community Trust has made the difficult decision to cancel the 11th Hororata Highland Games planned for the 6th of November 2021. The Hororata Highland Games is a significant outdoor event attracting around 10,000 people annually, and can only operate in alert level 1. Any competitors who have paid will be automatically refunded to the credit card they paid with. This could take 7 working days to show in your account.

The Hororata Highland Games was born out of the community’s desire to take charge of its own destiny following the September 2010 earthquakes. This unique event is best described as a traditional Scottish Highland Games with a Kiwi Twist. The competitions are at the heart of the event and the Games are the only event in the South Island that offer all the traditional Scottish competitions. The Games offer a complete day out where you can watch, complete, have-a-go and discover.
